Little Points of Light

5 January 2025
Darkness encompasses within the land,
Hardship and suffering,
Cold as steel yet perduing,
Yet ineffable light transforming,
Simple poverty to the magnificence of my Cathedral.
Radiant piles of straw my offering,
Though still straw to what YOU have,
Little Points of Light.

Unrecognized and in lowly place,
I bow succumbed in tears,
Elevated, hungry, looking,
He finds rest in me.
Beloved more than my heart can fathom,
Signs to turn my path when my heart pines.
Little Points of Light,
Hardly seen as I travel far,
Bearing gifts and treasures laden,
I walk the lonely miles,
Searching, crying, singing, Dying.

My bosom shines with ineffable food,
Suckles and feeds the inner Child,
I cradle Him and shelter,
Yet He carries me!
When I don't know how to turn,
He gives;
Little Points of Light.

Becoming royalty I stand,
Crowned by this Epiphany,
I know where to turn,
You enlighten me,
Fire within me burns,
Little Points of Light.

How can I fathom your delight,
And feel your hand in mine?
Even if I feel blinded by impossibility,
And sickness covers my land,
I am taught to trust,
Because even without hope I can still see,
Little Points of Light.
So Hope You must be!

You damage not my garden enclosed and sealed,
For only one we become,
This hidden mystery.
I arise beckoned to the window lattice,
By friend or foe or thought,
The Inner Voice calls by watchmen,
Little Points of Light.

A star shines bright,
And You become my delight,
My passion enflames and bolds,
My heart within me breaks with You,
Who hangs and is lifted up,
A sword of sorrow pierce me threw,
O Heart of hearts I stand,
With Little Points of Light.

A journey to the bowels of the earth,
To set the captive free,
The chains are gone when we except,
Little Points of Light.
And to the highest heaven rise,
Triumphant points of light.
Promise fulfilled with no end,
Little Points of Light.
