Do you really think this is the worst time in world history? Everyone is always saying it is but NO! We have had rumors of wars and insurrections since the beginning of time. We’ve had sodomy and sexual sin and transgenderism. It seems a lot of private revelations have been saying God is weeping in sorrow and Our Lady. Well indeed they are. There is a place and time for that. Lets take a look at scripture to see what is in the heart of God when the world is going to hell in a handbasket. The first thing it calls forth is trust. Why? Because God has a plan and can bring forth good from evil.
Psalm 37 says, Do not fret because of the wicked, be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good; so you will dwell in the land, and be nourished in safety. That’s all very well and good, but it is still horrible! So depressing. Yes, it is but should our focus be on this? No. The secret lies in two verses in this psalm. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. The psalmist goes on to say all the things that the wicked do and not to envy them because God will vindicate them. But what is His first response? The Lord laughs at the wicked.
Hehe! Wow. Oh my! That is a different approach now is it? Have you ever encountered anyone who when you are with them just finds yourself in the presence of extreme joy and peace? If so, then you know exactly what I mean. Where does that come from? From a close relationship with the Lord. Someone who tries to live in the presence of God and surrender everything to Him. A good, holy, and wholesome laugh is a gift from God. It displays a trust that says, “No matter what happens, God is in control. He will frustrate the path of the wicked. And they won’t see it coming.” This shows true joy and abandonment. Living in this manner is radical. Nothing can shake our peace when we are in the presence of a loving Father who heals us in consolation or in suffering. This is not our true home. And the Christian is a pilgrim who is a witness to a close walk with Jesus and His sacrifice and the end of the story which is Heaven.
When we are in Jesus, by saying yes to God’s will, then we receive the desires of our heart. He gives us everything we need when we choose to give ourselves to Him by blood, sweat, and tears but most of all in the peace and jubilation of being on the right path. Nothing can shake us from the Love of God and that is reason enough for joy and not discouragement. Everything will work out in the end! God is just and He is merciful. He will show us His plan. It is hard enough sometimes to just walk in this way. So why waste time worrying? Can I hear an Amen and Alleluia? For your homework check out the following video by Franciscan Friars of the Renewal…
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation however
I in finding this topic to be really one thing that I feel I’d never understand.
It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me.
I’m looking forward for your subsequent post, I will attempt to
get the cling of it!
I will try to keep posting content to delve deeper. Some good stuff is coming! Thanks for the comment and the feedback! Blessings!
