Pope Francis Rests in St. Mary Major

The world just got done viewing funeral images and the procession of the Holy Father to his final place of rest. The pope of the margins devoted to Mary and to Mercy. How fitting that tomorrow we celebrate the feast of the Divine Mercy. Pope Francis is buried by the adoration chapel and two confessionals. His whole papacy centered around Mary, the Eucharist and Confession.

His favorite image is not far from where he is laid to rest. He visited this image 126 times in his papacy. Salus Populi Romani. See Article here

What do we faithful do now? Pray. Our prayers are the most important thing we can offer our holy mother Church. Join me now and spread the word!

Lord Jesus,

We ask you to bless your Church in this time of uncertainty and waiting. Bless our late Holy Father and Guide the college of Cardinals in electing the next pontiff. We pray for the next successor of Peter that he may unify the Church and guide us in these uncertain times. May his heart be open to the Legacy of Pope Francis to reach all people with the Mercy of the heart of Jesus. May a new golden age begin in the Church of zeal and love for the faith and to put aside differences. May we have a heart of forgiveness and understanding and embrace the most vulnerable among us. Open our hearts to live the Mercy we have been taught. Make us all missionaries of mercy and help others find the love of Jesus and fulfill their bodily needs. Open our hearts to learn another aspect of your love through our next Holy Father. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, keep us in your mantles and hold the next pope close to your heart. Remove all obstacles and protect us from the Evil One.

Amen.
